Nothing is better than a pile of fresh fruit. Other than fruit bathed in a simple syrup (1 part sugar, 1 part water) made with loads of fresh thyme and green tea. Here it is, shining in the sunlight.

Ken picked up this belt fish from the Asian market. He had never heard of it before but as Bella would say, “This is an adventure in food!” It ended up breaded and then pan fried. The finished result: A mild whitefish coated in crispy skin with plenty of spiny bones to eat around.
