Local Vegetables

The season for local produce is finally coming to an end. I’ve been enjoying creating our vegetable medley using the changing ingredients Yuki drops off to us so I’m sad to see it end. Last week our vegetable medley included brussel sprouts, which were roasted whole with garlic butter and then cut off the stalk. As well, solid chunks of flavourful black radish roasted in olive oil with the skin on, went into the mixture. Here is a shot of the roasted veggies alongside some roasted celery root which also went in. Yum, Yum, Yum! Thanks for the inspiration for what to do with all the lovely local veggies I got at The Putney Farmers Market this weekend.
