We have been struggling every week to finish off the bags upon bags of beautiful vegetables that Yuki has been bringing. The harvest is plentiful right now! Pictured are some beautiful starburst squash that were roasted in olive oil on high heat. They’re topped with herbs, artisan cheese and walnuts.
Every so often there is a photo that makes me feel great pride for all I’ve learned thus far. This is that photo right now. This local lamb was blasted on high heat first to sear a nice crust. Then it was slow roasted with plenty of onions, garlic scapes and herbs for a couple of hours.
We were using the smoker in the backyard a few days ago and the smoke became a little bit out of control at one point. While Ken tended to the smoker, I grabbed my camera to capture the sunlight shining through the smoke.
